| My passion for birds began when I was just a toddler.
My grandfather raised a variety of cockatiels and he would always allow me
to go up to them and pet them. Soon I began to handle them so that
they would be tame enough for someone to purchase. Now, I have started
my own lovebird business. With his help, we handraise our
lovebirds for purchase.
Each of my lovebirds is housed in a cage where it is socialized with other compatible birds. They are given a variety of toys such as large PVC pipes to hide in, dog choke chains to climb on, and branches to perch on. Other home-made toys are also offered to the birds. Their food consists of a variety of greens, bread, grains, and the usual cockatiel mixture. On occasion, the birds that are not breeding will be allowed out of their cages to play. Each bird's wings are clipped to prevent flying since they are housed outside.
